MWC 2022: HONOR Watch GS 3 and HONOR Earbuds 3 Pro with "temperature sensing" announced!

During the Mobile World Congress, HONOR launched its latest wearables namely Watch GS3 and Earbuds 3 Pro.

The former Huawei subsidiary presented these wearables alongside the HONOR Magic4 series. 

The new Watch GS 3 arrived in three color variants: Ocean Blue, Classic Gold, and Midnight Black. Both Ocean Blue and Classic Gold have e a 22mm color-matched Nappa calfskin strap while the Midnight Black sports a regular black fluoroelastomer strap. 

In front, all models have identical 1.43-inch AMOLED displays with 466x466 pixels resolution. Inside, the Watch GS 3 comes with 4 GB of flash storage, 32 MP of RAM, and an Apollo 4 SoC. Allegedly, the Watch GS 3 can last up to 14 days of continuous usage.

For fitness monitoring, the smartwatch is equipped with the following: an eight-channel PPG sensor for accurate 24/7 heart rate monitoring, support for over 100 workout modes, L1/L5 Dual Frequency GNSS for precise location tracking, and 12 animated fitness courses. HONOR also included support for auto-detecting six workout modes and  44 standard fitness motion demonstrations.

Other features include 5ATM water resistance, speaker/microphone support, and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The watch measures 10.5mm thick and weighs 44g.

HONOR Earbuds 3 Pro in Grey

Meanwhile, the company also unveiled the Earbuds 3 Pro with a premium design that seems similar to AirPods Pro. The earbuds also have an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance, while the charging case gets an IP52 rating.

Inside, it's equipped with an 11mm dynamic driver and a piezoelectric ceramic tweeter. The Earbuds 3 Pro is claimed to offer up to 6 hours of music playback on a single charge, with the charging case offering an additional 24 hours of playback.

It also boasts fast charging support, which will let users charge them up from 0 to 65 percent in about 10 minutes.

In addition to that, the buds include an adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that will adjust for the wearer depending on their listening environment. The Ultra mode is for noisy environments of around 46dB like airplanes and buses. The General mode is for your day-to-day activities around 30dB, while the Cozy prefix will be ideal for libraries and other quiet rooms.

But the most unique feature of the Earbuds 3 Pro that caught the attention of many is temperature sensing. Basically, the wearable can help you monitor your temperature on the go.

According to HONOR, users can tap the buds three times to activate temperature monitoring, with continuous measurement and even an "abnormal temperature alert".

The Earbuds 3 Pro comes in two colors only: White and Grey.

As of writing, the company said that Watch GS 3 and  Earbuds 3 Pro are going to be available for purchase in Europe. However, no word yet if HONOR will launch them in other regions as well.
