Samsung releases 2022 Galaxy A series, priced in PH

Tech firm Samsung earlier announced the new 2022 Galaxy A series smartphones. It includes the Galaxy A33 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, and Galaxy A73 5G.

Slightly upgraded A series, bye headphone jack

A33 and A53

First is the Galaxy A33 5G. The device is available in Awesome Black, Awesome White, and Awesome Peach colors at the back with an IP67 water/dust resistance rating and comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, U-shaped notch for the 13MP f/2.2 selfie shooter, and an In-Display fingerprint reader.

Inside, the device is equipped with a 5nm Exynos 1280 chip clocked up to 2.4GHz, up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 25W Super Fast Charging.

For cameras, it is using a 48MP f/1.8 main shooter with OIS paired with a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, 5MP f/2.4 macro, and a 5MP f/2.4 depth camera.

The device also has stereo speakers, dual-band WiFi, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and dual SIM slots.

It measures 159.7 x 74.0 x 8.1 mm and weighs 186 grams.

Colors of A53 5G

Next is the Galaxy A53 5G. The device is boasting an IP67 rated body in Awesome Black, Awesome White, and Awesome Peach colors and a large 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, top-center punch-hole for the 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera, and an In-Display fingerprint reader.

Inside, the device is also equipped with a 5nm Exynos 1280 chip clocked up to 2.4GHz, up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 25W Super Fast Charging.

For the back cameras, it uses a 64MP f/1.8 OIS main shooter, 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, 5MP f/2.4 macro camera, and a 5MP f/2.4 depth camera.

It measures 159.6 x 74.8 x 8.1 mm and weighs 189 grams.

A73 5G colors

Next is the Galaxy A73 5G. It features an IP67 rated body that is available in Awesome Gray, Awesome White, and Awesome Mint colors at the back and a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, top-center punch-hole for the 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera, and an In-Display fingerprint reader.

Inside, it runs with the 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC clocked up to 2.4GHz, Adreno 642L GPU, up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 25W Super Fast Charging.

For cameras, the device arrived with a 108MP f/1.8 OIS main shooter, 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, 5MP f/2.4 macro camera, and a 5MP f/2.4 depth camera.

It also has a dual-band WiFi ax, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual SIM slots.

What's missing on all phones is the 3.5mm headphone jack slot.

All three phones run with Android 12 OS with One UI 4.1 skin on top.
