Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 and Moto G 5G announced

Motorola announces a 2022 version of the Moto G stylus 5G with upgraded internals and the Moto G 5G with nearly identical specs.

Two 5G smartphones from Motorola!

The 2022 version looks simpler on its rear design in Blue and Green colorways compared to its predecessor. But it retains the metallic frames along with the 6.8-inch display with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

The brand slightly upped its SoC from Snapdragon 480 now the new model has a 2.2GHz 6nm Snapdragon 695 octa-core processor with Adreno 619 GPU. Also, it now has a single memory configuration with 8GB RAM and 256GB expandable storage.

It still has the same 5,000mAh battery size and supports 10W and QC 3.0 charging.

Its cameras were also improved at 50MP for the main with OIS and Quad Pixel technology followed by an 8MP ultrawide angle module and 2MP for depth shooting. Meanwhile, the front-facing cam uses 16MP.

Moving to the second phone released, the Moto G 5G has a different back design with a textured finish. On the front, it has a slightly smaller 6.5-inch HD+ MaxVision display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate.

It also has a 5G chipset but with 2.2GHz 7nm Dimensity 700 with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It is paired with 6GB RAM and 256GB expandable storage.

The battery size is also similar to the phone mentioned above with 5,000mAh and supports 10W charging.

For its cameras, it has a 50MP primary, 2MP depth, and 2MP macro while the selfie shooter uses 13MP.

Other features mentioned in the two devices are side-mounted fingerprint readers for their security.

For connectivity, the stylus version has WiFi 6, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB-C.

Both of the phones run Android 12 with My UX skin on top.

The devices are now available at the partner stores in the US and on its website. We still have to hear from Motorola if it will come to the Philippines. We will let you know once there's news about it.
