Lenovo Legion launches R7000P and R9000P 2022 Gaming Laptops

Lenovo has unveiled two gaming laptops—Legion R7000P and R9000P. Both of which are powered by Ryzen 6000 series processors and RTX Graphics.

The Legion R7000P

Two Ryzen powered gaming laptops from Lenovo

Starting from the first gaming machine Legion R7000P which is the less expensive of the two. It comes with 15.6-inch IPS LCD panel with 2560 x 1440 2.5K resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, and 100 percent sRGB color gamut.

This laptop has two options for CPU namely the Ryzen 5 6600H or Ryzen 7 6800H. There are two GPU options as well with the RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti. It also has a single memory configuration of 16GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.

Ryzen 6000 series processor

Powering this machine will be the 80WHr battery which can be charged using the 135W wired adaptor.

Other features are its dedicated button to quickly launch the webcam and the Frost Blade Cooling System 4.0 to manage the thermals.

For connectivity, it has WiFi 6E, Bluetooth, three USB-C, USB 3.2 Gen1, 3.5mm audio jack, HDMI 2.1, and an Ethernet port.

It is also preinstalled with Windows 11 Home out of the box.

The Legion R9000P

The next Legion laptop will be the R9000P which is the higher and more expensive model. It comes with a bigger 16-inch IPS LCD screen with 2.5K resolution, 500 nits max brightness, 165Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and DC dimming.

Inside it will be the Ryzen 7 6800H and two options for the discreet GPU. You can choose either the RTX 3060 with 140W power draw or the higher RTX 3070 Ti with 150W power consumption.

Its RAM and Storage will still be the 16GB DDR5 and 512GB SSD.

For the battery, it has an 80WHr size too but the charger is enhanced to 300W.

The rest of the features will be similar to the R7000P model such as the cooling system, dedicated webcam key, connectivity, ports, and the Windows 11 Home operating system.

Both laptop models are now available for pre-order today while the official sale begins on June 17 in China. There's no word yet if they will come to the Philippines though. Stay tuned with us for more updates.
