In terms of design, we expect it to retain the same looks as the international variants with a rectangular camera bump housing a triple-camera setup. In front, it has a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and slim bezels all around.
If we go with the Indian variant launched last month, the OPPO Reno8 5G features a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with 2400 x 1080 FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, 600 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Inside, it has the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1300 octa-core processor, Mali-G77 MC9 GPU, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging support. For cameras, it has a triple camera setup with a 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX766 main sensor + 8MP f/2.2 Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle sensor + 2MP f/2.4 macro sensor with LED flash. For selfies, it has the 32MP f/2.4 Sony IMX709 sensor.
It runs Android 12 out of the box with ColorOS 12.1. It also has an In-Display fingerprint sensor, dual-band WiFi, 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, and USB-C.
Hopefully, both the base version and Pro version comes to the Philippines. Pre-order for the OPPO Reno8 5G will start on September 1.
