Samsung Galaxy A04 with 50MP main camera now official

The Samsung Galaxy A04 seems to be the latest entry-level smartphone from the company. It is also the first budget device from it with a 50MP camera.

It features a 50MP main camera which is an upgrade from last year

The Samsung Galaxy A04 is the follow-up to last year's Galaxy A03. It features a similar design with a plastic body with 2 camera cutouts at the back. It has a dewdrop cutout for its 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity V display with a 60Hz refresh rate.

Inside, it features an unspecified octa-core processor, up to 8GB RAM, up to 128GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. The charging technology was not yet unveiled though. For the cameras, it has a dual-camera setup at the back with a 50MP f/1.8 main sensor + 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor with LED flash. For selfies, it has a 5MP f/2.2 sensor.

This is the first budget smartphone from Samsung to feature a 50MP main sensor. The Galaxy A03 featured a 48MP camera in comparison.

It runs Android 12 with One UI Core 4.1. It also has dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a USB-C charging port.

Price and availability are yet to be announced though. We also cannot confirm a local launch yet. We will update you as soon as we get more information.
