TECNO Mobile Philippines recently released its newest affordable smartphone, the POVA 4.
A new budget wonder?

The POVA 3 (starting at PHP 8,999) released earlier this year may have a few advantages in some specs like the resolution and battery, but the POVA 4 (PHP 7,999) has a speedier chip and more RAM at a more affordable price tag.

AND, based on its specs for the price, it is one of the most attractive.

Here are why we think it is the newest must-consider phone for the price. Read on.

On paper, what makes the TECNO POVA 4 impressive for the price?

With the new Helio G99 chip

1. The processor
- For the price, the new TECNO POVA 4 is equipped with one of the fastest chips at this price point. In particular, the handset is loaded with the
2.4GHz 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 octa-core processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This chip is capable of medium graphics gaming and that's impressive for a phone priced under PHP 10K.

This chip is also based on the advanced 6nm manufacturing process making it more power-efficient than older-gen chips. This chip also has support for high-refresh rates and has an advanced 3x ISP for better photo and video captures.

2. Large RAM and storage - The new TECNO POVA 4 is also one of the few smartphones with a large 8GB RAM in the under PHP 10K range. To simplify it, the benefit of this is it will allow its users to open more apps and keep them running the in the background while keeping your phone smooth.

Moreover, it has up to 5GB of virtual RAM for a total of 13MP Memory Fusion RAM.

According to the company, this solution will allow the device to have an increased backend cache application by 9 and an application startup speed increase by 61 percent.

Aside from its large RAM, TECNO also added a pretty big 128GB of expandable internal storage on this device. This allows its users to install more apps, and games, and store a lot of files.

4. Massive battery capacity - 6,000mAh is smaller than the 7,000mAh of POVA 3, but it is still considered huge. This is still good enough for up to 2 days of use on a single charge.

It also has a reasonably fast 18W charging tech via USB-C. TECNO claimed that it can be used for over 12 hours of 4G talk, up to 4 hours of YouTube video playback, and almost 3 hours of PUBG gaming in just 20 minutes of charge (20 percent battery).

5. Others - Apart from those key specs, the device also has a gamer flashy design, a 50MP main camera, an 8MP selfie camera, a Heat Dissipation System with Graphite Cooling Tube to keep its performance in check, stereo speakers, and a Z-axis linear vibration motor.
