These newest Kompanio chipsets offer a seamless experience so customers can browse, play cloud games, stream content, and utilize Google Play apps while enjoying all-day battery life thanks to the improved computational performance and battery life for low-level Chromebooks.

For slick and quick performance, the Kompanio 520 and Kompanio 528 both incorporate two premium Arm Cortex-A76 CPU cores within an octa-core CPU in addition to an updated dual-core graphics engine. The Kompanio 520 and Kompanio 528's Arm Cortex-A76 processors can run at up to 2.0GHz and 2.2GHz, respectively, while also optimizing battery life so that users may go longer between charges.

Multitasking is simple, and users may start up in just a few seconds thanks to the strong octa-core CPU and the incredibly effective RAM and storage options. Each chipset incorporates a dual-core AI processing unit (APU) to provide applications with enhanced AI advancements and AI camera functions.

Additionally, brands may pair the Kompanio chipsets with MediaTek's Filogic Wi-Fi 6 solutions for quick and dependable connectivity when customers are streaming and playing cloud games.

The new Kompanio chipsets enable device manufacturers to create Chromebooks with huge 32MP cameras for taking incredibly clear images thanks to a variety of next-generation imaging processor enhancements. These chipsets are supported by MediaTek's hardware imaging engine, which works in the background to automatically improve photos and videos, even in dim lighting.

The improved multimedia engine features a dedicated HiFi-5 DSP for ultra-low power audio microphone processing along with VP9 decoding and H.265 encoding for 2X quicker performance. The chipsets can record 1080p video at 60 frames per second for fluid video conferences.

Other features include the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, support for 3733Mbps LPDDR4X RAM, eMMC 5.1 storage with hardware command queue, HiFi 5 DSP, support for up to 2520 x 1080 60Hz display, and 1080p 60fps video encoding.

By the first half of 2023, Kompanio 520 and Kompanio 528 chipset-equipped Chromebooks will be marketed.
