The 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G octa-core processor launched

The SD782G SoC is expected to debut with the HONOR 80 5G

The launch of the Snapdragon 782G was relatively quiet. It is said to be the successor to the Snapdragon 778G+ from 2021. For the specs, it is built on TSMC's 6nm process technology. It has 4x Kryo 670 Performance CPUs with speeds up to 2.7GHz and 4x Kryo 670 Efficiency CPUs clocked at 1.8GHz.

In terms of graphics, it has the Adreno 642L GPU with OpenCL 2.0 FP, OpenGL ES 3.2, and Vulkan 1.1. It also has a built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon X53 5G modem-RF system, support for 4x4 MIMO connectivity at up to 2.9Gbps speeds, HDR10+ support, Qualcomm Aqstic audio technology, and Qualcomm  Spectra 570L Image Sensor Processor.

It can also support a screen with FHD+ resolution at 144Hz, 4K at 60Hz, 10-bit color, and up to HDR10+ support. It also has the Fused AI accelerator architecture that uses the Qualcomm Hexagon Tensor Accelerator with Hexagon Voice Assistant support. It also has the 6th Gen Qualcomm Ai Engine with Hexagon 770 processor.

It supports up to 16GB of 3200MHz LPDDR5 RAM. It also has FastConnect 6700, WiFi 6E, Blyetooth 5.2, LE Audio Features, Qualcomm aptX suite support, NFC, GPS, Glonass, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS, NavIC, and Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology.

The Snapdragon 782G is expected to be powering the HONOR 80 scheduled to be launched tomorrow.
