SIM registration: What you should know

According to the implementing rules and regulations of the SIM Registration Act, all existing subscribers and new ones must register their SIM starting the said date.

For Globe subscribers, the telco said in a social media post that they may register through https://new.globe.com.ph/simreg.

By January, users may also register their SIM via the Globe One app.

If you do not have internet access or are using a basic or feature phone, we will be setting up assisted registration sites by February 2023, Globe said. We encourage you to visit us then so we can help you register your SIM.

For newly purchased SIM on or after December 27, users must register immediately to activate the SIM. If this will not be used right away, the user has until the SIM shelf life expiry date indicated in the packaging to comply with the registration process.

The following will be collected and required to be able to register your SIM:

Globe said SIMs for minors shall be registered under the name of the parent or legal guardian.

If the user just transferred to Globe through Mobile Number Portability, he or she should register again via the online portal.

When using prepaid SIM under a company name, this will be registered by the authorized representative of your company.

Those traveling abroad and are using roaming services are not exempted once registration starts. They must also register through the portal to avoid deactivation.

As for existing Globe Postpaid, Globe Platinum, and Globe Business postpaid customers, Globe said they will be pre-registered using the details they provided during the application. Globe agents may still get in touch with said customers in case there is missing information.

Foreigners visiting the Philippines must also comply with the registration process:
