Why this video feature
According to a report by CNN, the new feature called "Why this video," which TikTok is rolling out over the coming weeks will add more context about how the app’s algorithms recommend video in a user’s feed.
Our system recommends content by ranking videos based on a combination of factors based on your activity on our app, which includes adjusting for things you indicate you're not interested in. Our goal is to serve a range of relevant and entertaining content, TikTok said in a post.
With this, TikTok said a user can get information on reasons why a certain video landed on his or her feed.

Looking ahead, we'll continue to expand this feature to bring more granularity and transparency to content recommendations, TikTok said in a blog post.

The TikTok FYP feature is fascinating – its algorithm is designed to show users content they'll likely engage with, making it incredibly addictive. Understanding how it works can help creators tailor their content for better reach. I recently visited https://fortunethor.com/ and was impressed by their clear, user-friendly approach – a good standard for sharing social media insights.
ReplyDeleteFinally some transparency on the FYP algorithm—been wondering why certain videos keep showing up. I've been using Fortunethor lately to track my own social media habits and it's surprisingly helpful for understanding what content I'm actually engaging with most.
