HONOR Philippines earlier confirmed that the company is prepping to launch its very first smartphone in the country this 2023.
Is this the HONOR X9a 5G?

HONOR's first phone this 2023 in PH is coming!

As a part of its goal of being more aggressive this year, HONOR will introduce a new smartphone designed to be durable and stylish at the same time.

The device will go official on January 19, 2023.
It has a curved OLED screen

Based on its teaser, the handset will feature a 3D curved OLED screen, a premium feature commonly found on higher-end devices.

According to the company, this handset is for cautious trend observers who value quality, those who are curious about technology, and who conduct their own research before making a purchase. This suggests that this is a value-packed device worthy of your investment.

We are launching our first phone of the year this January and this will be revolutionary. We are introducing a first ever feature in the industry, teased HONOR Philippines Vice President for Marketing, Stephen Cheng. Just like what we promised to our HONOR fans, we have a spectacular lineup for the year and this is just the start, a very strong start.

Our guess? It could be the HONOR X9a 5G that was launched in Malaysia yesterday. It is said to be the smartphone with the "strongest screen" with a 3D curved design.

In particular, the handset is boasting a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED screen with 45-degree Golden Curvature, 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, FHD+ resolution, In-Display fingerprint reader, and Deeply Reinforced Glass with an anti-drop feature.

It runs with the 5G-ready Snapdragon 695 processor, up to 8GB RAM, up to 5GB RAM Turbo tech, up to 256GB internal storage, 5,100mAh battery capacity, 64MP f/1.8 main cam, 5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide and depth cam, 2MP f/2.4 macro camera, 16MP f/2.45 selfie camera, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, and GMS-ready Android 12 operating system with MagicUI 6.1 skin.

Stay tuned for more info to see if our guess is correct.
