More affordable HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro Kunlun Glass Vegan Leather Carbon Black arrives in PH!

The Kunlun Glass version of the HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro is its most expensive non-foldable premium phone in the country at PHP 68,999. But recently, the tech giant introduced a more affordable variant of the said device for those who wanted to save a little.

It is the HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro in an elegant-looking Carbon Black colorway with a Vegan Leather texture. The device is priced at just PHP 61,999.

The difference? The device has 256GB of internal storage instead of 512GB and the color is obviously black instead of orange.

For me, this isn't much of a big deal as 256GB is still considered as large where you can still install plenty of apps, games, photos, and videos even in 2023.

Kunlun Glass is the company's latest glass protection developed after 4 years of research.

According to the company, helps the phone withstand up to 32 kg of pressure or 10x better drop resistance than regular glass.

The tech uses nanocrystals, using 24-hour high-temperature nanocrystal growth, 108-step micro-crystalline matrix material processing, and 1600-degree Celsius platinum smelting technology. It has 10 quadrillion-level nanocrystals to significantly increase the toughness of the glass.

As a result, it is the first smartphone to ever receive SGS's 5-star certification for glass drop protection.
