Meet Infinix NOTE 30 5G

To recap, the Infinix NOTE 30 5G is a promising 5G-ready mid-ranger that might take on a lot of budget phones.

The box immediately provided a big impression.

We get an MPL theme here since, of course, the brand is sponsoring the 11th season of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League. Therefore guys, expect this to be a gaming-ready smartphone.

Underneath, we get the official packaging in this aquamarine-like color.

For other things in the package, we have a SIM ejector tool, the manual, and a FREE glass screen protector which is definitely a nice detail to have.

Then we also get this MPL-themed black case, the 45W adapter, and the USB Type-A to Type-C cable.

Design

Back design
Back design

From the get-go, the Infinix Note 30 5G sports a tall and boxy design.

Beautiful design!

The back has a shimmering hue that lightly changes color when the light hits it. This is a nicely designed smartphone.

On top is a speaker grille and some JBL branding. Then below are its main speakers, USB Type-C port, primary microphone, and headphone jack

Located on the left side is a card slot for 2 nano SIM cards and a dedicated slot for a microSD card.

On the right, you will see all the buttons. The volume rocker and the power button also double as a fingerprint scanner.

Unnoticeably, a large square bump carries its triple rear cameras with a 108MP main shooter, a 2MP lens, and an AI camera.

Did I mention that this phone has an IP53 rating and a JBL-tuned stereo speaker? Interesting right? We will talk about it further in our full review.

Upfront is a FHD+ 6.78-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. So far the colors look lively and the scrolling is smooth.

The bezels all look slim (for the expected price) with a punch-hole notch on top to hold its 16MP selfie camera. It also has a front speaker and an LED indicator on the upper right.

Quick thoughts

MPL case

If you're wondering about the price, it will be revealed when the Infinix NOTE 30 5G launches on May 30, 2023. Let's watch out for it.

Our guess? It will be affordable despite all the good things about it we mentioned above. We liked its design, the build is decent, and it has strong overall specs with fast charging. It even has a JBL-tuned speaker and that's a first in the possible price segment of this device.

This is an exciting smartphone so far and it could be a very strong contender depending on its pricing.

Stay tuned for our full review as well.
