Project Q PS5 streaming handheld revealed!

In a trailer, they posted on multiple social media channels, the Japan-based gaming firm will launch a portable 8-inch screen with what looks to be a retractable DualSense controller attached to it.

The device will basically let users stream games from their PlayStation library over a shared Wi-Fi network. Sony noted that games are required to be installed on the PS5 before accessing them.

Watch the trailer below.

Details are still scarce for now, it is unknown if it will let you stream via 5G or 4G although it would be a bummer if it's just limited to Wi-Fi connectivity. They also never mentioned if you can play cloud games on a server like that of Xbox game cloud or GeForce Now.

In addition, Sony also revealed the official PlayStation earbuds which are obviously meant for their console platform and PC. The brand mentioned "next-generation audio immersion" lossless audio and low latency. That likely implies an LDAC or LDHC codec to produce such high-quality sound. Given Sony's history in the audio department, we can definitely expect something like that from them.

So far thats all the details, Sony will reveal more about the two products at a later date this year.

What do you guys think?
