ICYMI: DxOMark ranks Google Pixel Fold 1st in display and 28th in camera!

DxOMark releases its ratings for Google Pixel Fold in terms of display, camera, and audio.

The phone's design

DxOMark ranks Pixel Fold number 1 in display and 28th in camera!

To recall, it is the first take of Google in the Foldable category with specs of a 7.6-inch in inner OLED panel with 1840 x 2208 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1,450 max brightness, and 6:5 aspect ratio.

The inner panel comes with a 5.8-inch OLED with 2092 x 1080 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,550 nits peak brightness.

Inside, it has the 5nm 2.85GHz Google Tensor G2 processor with Mali-G710 MP7 GPU and Titan M2 security, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage and 4,821mAh battery with 30W wired and wireless charging.

In the camera department, the phone uses 48MP 1/2" sensor with f/1.7 aperture, OIS, CLAF  + 10.8MP 121.1 degrees ultra-wide snapper + 10.8MP telephoto camera.

The DxOMark display rating for Pixel Fold

According to DxOMark, this Pixel Fold is the current no. 1 in the display with a rating of 151. They also noted that it scored 158 for readability, 163 on color, 157 on video, 155 on Motion, 150 on touch, and 120 for artifacts.

DxOmark also mentioned that it has "good display color rendering in most lighting environments, along with well-managed brightness in most tested conditions" They continued that the Pixel fold has a "well-managed and pleasant HDR10 video experience".

It is also worth pointing out that the Pixel Fold is tied with the HONOR Magic5 Pro in terms of display rating at the no.1 spot while the iPhone 14 Pro Max comes to second with 149 points overall.

The camera rating

On the camera side, DxOMark ranked the Pixel Fold in 28th place with a score of 133 points. Moreover, the Fold got 137 points on the photo, 60 on Bokeh, 63 in Preview, 117 for Zoom, and 131 for video. In this area, DxO praised the Pixel Fold for being great in the camera landscape.

The audio rating

In terms of audio the phone 39th position with 133 points. DxOMark highlighted that the speakers produce pleasant sound signatures while the microphones aren't mostly unaffected by wind noises or handling of the device.
