Samsung debuted a new mid-range from the M-series line called the Galaxy M34.
The most notable highlight here perhaps is the 4 Major OS updates and 5 years of security patches. Commonly, M-series phones do not get this type of treatment and they are just stuck at 2 or 3 years update.
This time, Samsung is stepping up by giving "flagship-like treatment" for an affordable mid-range device in terms of software support.
Moving forward, Samsung didn't change much in design, the M34 looks simple like its predecessor. At the front, it still uses the Infinity-U notch on the display. Speaking of which it has 6.5-inch Super AMOLED with FHD+ resolution, 1000 nits max brightness, and 120Hz refresh rate.
Inside, it is powered by the 5nm Exynos 1280 8-core chip, with Mali-G68 GPU, 6GB/8GB RAM with 128GB expandable memory.
For battery, the phone features a 6,000mAh capacity and charges using a 25W adaptor and a USB-C cable.
For the camera, the phone uses 50MP primary sensor with OIS + 8MP ultra-wide angle camera + 2MP macro shooter + LED flash. On the selfie side, Samsung included a 13MP shooter.
Other features noted are a side-mounted fingerprint reader and speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
In terms of connectivity, it has 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6 (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and dual SIM support.
For software, the phone runs Android 13 with One UI 5.1 skin out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy M34 5G 6GB/128GB - INR 18,999 (around PHP 12.7K)
Samsung Galaxy M34 8GB/128GB - INR 20,999 (around PHP 14.1K)
The device is now available for pre-order on the Amazon India or Samsung India website. No word yet for the PH release as of the moment though, but we will let you know once it's here.
What do you guys think?
