Xiaomi wins big in Institutional Investor's Asia Executive Team Awards for fifth consecutive year

For the fifth year, Xiaomi was again awarded in multiple categories of the Institutional Investor's Asia Executive Team Awards.

In a statement, Xiaomi said it bagged the "2023 Asia Pacific (Ex-Japan) Executive Team", including Best CEO, Best CFO, Best Investor Relations Professional, Best Investor Relations Program, Best ESG, and Best Board in the Technology Hardware sector.

This is the second year Xiaomi has been named in the All-Star status, achieving a first-place in the combined rankings across six categories.

Xiaomi executives also bagged awards.

Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun, also ranked no. 1 in Best CEO; Vice President, and Chief Financial Officer Alain Lam ranked first in Best CFO; and Director of Investor Relations and Capital Markets Anita Chen topped in the Best Investor Relations Professional.

The company said it also ranked no. 1 in Best Investor Relations Program, Best Investor Relations Team, Best ESG categories, and Best Board.

This is already the fifth year for Xiaomi to be featured in the rankings since its stock market debut.

Through the annual event, the Institutional Investor magazine is able to recognize the best-performing firms and individuals across the different categories.

Rankings in this year's All-Asia Executive Team survey evaluated companies' performance in the period February 2022 to January 2023, Xiaomi noted. The rankings have become a benchmark for corporate governance standards as they are voted on by recognized members within the financial sector, and the rigorous evaluation process ensures the legitimacy of the awards, it added

A total of 5,660 portfolio managers and buy-side analysts, and 814 sell-side analysts participated in the 2023 Asia Pacific (Ex-Japan) Executive Team survey.

The 1,608 companies nominated across 18 sectors this year were rated on core areas, including Financial Disclosure, Services & Communication, and ESG as well as attributes for CEOs, CFOs, and the Best IR Professionals.
