Netflix report shows Converge still best internet provider for users in H1 2023

Citing a Netflix report, Converge says it remains the best internet provider for the video streaming platform's users.

Fiber broadband and technology provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. said it maintained to hold the top spot as the best internet service provider (ISP) for Netflix users based on the video streaming giant’s recent ISP speed index report. This was based on Converge’s performance for the first half of 2023.

Netflix ISP Speed Index measures the prime-time Netflix performance of internet service providers. It looks into which network offers the best picture quality, start times, and fewer interruptions to its users.

Citing data from Netflix, Converge said it held on to its spot as it recorded an average speed of 3.4 Mbps from January to June this year.

A recent study by independent insights and data company OpenSignal also named Converge as the country’s fastest fixed broadband operator, with download and upload speeds at 52.8 Mbps and 35.9 Mbps, respectively.
