Manulife introduces its new mobile app as a way to meet the growing demand for digitally enabled insurance services.

Manulife mobile app launched!

Manulife's web-based customer interface, Manulife Online, has constantly been voted as the No. 1 online insurance self-service platform by Filipino insurance clients, based on the firm's claims.

The app, which is now available on the App Store and Google Play, allows customers to access Manulife Online on their mobile devices to perform self-service policy transactions such as policy viewing and updating contact information, checking fund values of their investment-linked products, accessing premium payment information and history, and secure premium payment online. The app's one-time PIN (OTP) feature is activated to assist in safeguarding the privacy and security of consumer data.

Manulife's recent Asia Care Survey has found that up to 80 percent of the respondents in the country are interested in buying insurance products as they take charge of their health and finances due to economic uncertainties. In addition, another research titled The Modern Filipino Family: Exploring Family Dynamics and Digitalization in the New Normal has resulted in Filipinos 'increased preference for using digital wallets when doing financial transactions, with up to 82 percent of respondents saying they have used digital applications due to convenience (45 percent), sense of security (22 percent) and protection (17 percent).
