Epson celebrates its 25th anniversary!
The renowned electronics and printer maker received the top 1 ranking in Statista and Philippine Daily Inquirer's Best Customer Service 2023 survey in the Home Goods, Consumer Electronics category.
The award, which was based on a nationwide poll conducted independently with more than 11,000 participants, highlights Epson's dedication to providing outstanding customer service and support with a focus on accessibility, communication, and professional competence. The Best Customer Service 2023 award acknowledges Epson's commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
We are inspired by our customers’ confidence in us to keep pursuing service excellence, said Masako Kusama, Epson Philippines President and Director. This recognition inspires us to continue providing top-notch customer support and exceed expectations.
At Epson, we leverage our efficient, compact, and precise innovations to effect positive and meaningful change in the world,” said Kusama. “We firmly believe that energy-saving solutions and space-saving innovations contribute to the improvement of businesses’ operations and the protection of our environment.
According to the brand, they have seen stable year-over-year growth, due to its continuous ink supply system (CISS) printers, CAD printers, projectors, scanners,, and large format printers.
The business success in the industry has been largely attributed to its focus on accelerating B2B transformation by utilizing technology and optimizing operations.
Meanwhile, International Data Corporation (IDC) says, Epson had a 51 percent market share for inkjet printers, a 67 percent market share for ColorWorks printers, a 36 percent market share for CAD, and an 83 percent market share for photo printers in 2022. Epson also emerged as the leading brand in POS, textile printers scanners, and high-brightness projectors.
The firm plans to boost its 2022 annual growth rate from 8 percent to 12 percent in 2023.
Another highlight would be Epson's dedication to pursuing a greener future. The brand says its commitment to both local and global environmental preservation is shown in its multiple projects and awards. In order to meet its global commitment to switch to renewable energy across all manufacturing locations by 2023, the company's Batangas manufacturing plant was converted to geothermal and hydroelectric power in 2021.
Furthermore, the brand's product line is intended to take steps to lower environmental impact through heat-free technology, which allows its printers to consume less electricity than laser printers, and high-capacity ink tanks, which increase operational efficiency.
Guided by our global aspirations, we have placed sustainability at the heart of our business. Sustainability is a key priority for Epson, and this is reflected across all aspects of our business, shared Kusama. The realization of our goal cannot be achieved by Epson employees alone. It requires empathy and shared purpose among our customers, partners, and society.
Epson Philippines has also formed strategic alliances with groups such as WWF- WWF-Philippines in an effort to address major environmental challenges and help contribute to a greener future. Epson and WWF-Philippines aim to safeguard the country's unique biodiversity and empower local communities through programs focused on mangrove conservation and restoration, climate change education, and sustainable food production systems.
With these movements, Epson Philippines is focused on establishing the foundation for a low-carbon society and educating the public for a longer-term effect through these efforts.
