More 5G Globe cell sites across PH

This rollout has pushed Globe's 5G coverage to 97.67 percent in Metro Manila and 92.06 percent in key cities of Visayas and Mindanao.

This came as the telco recorded more 5G devices using its network. For the month of September alone, Globe said 5.2 million 5G devices were connected to Globe.

In the international market, Globe also continues to cement its 5G presence with partnerships with 156 carriers in 82 destinations.

Globe's 5G roaming coverage already extends to countries such as Guatemala, South Africa, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Laos, Seychelles, India, Peru, Aland Islands, Crete, Croatia, and Romania. At the same time, inbound roamers visiting the Philippines can also benefit from the company’s strengthened 5G infrastructure.

With the robust expansion of our 5G network, we are not just enhancing connectivity; we are shaping a future where every Filipino is empowered with global, cutting-edge communication capabilities, said Beck Eclipse, Globe's Chief Customer Experience Officer.

For the first nine months of 2023, Globe spent PHP 54 billion, the bulk of which was used to fund data services.
