REDMAGIC 9 Pro and Pro+ launched: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 24GB RAM, and up to 6,500mAh battery!

After showing the teasers, REDMAGIC 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ are now officially featuring upgraded gaming internals.

The REDMAGIC 9 Pro Series

REDMAGIC 9 and 9 Pro+ are launched!

To start, both devices are nearly identical in most aspects except the battery capacity and RAM sizes.

They feature a refined design with no camera bumps on the back, RGB cooling fans, and shoulder keys for extra controls.

The back design

At the front, both of them feature a 6.8-inch BOE-made flat AMOLED screen with a 2480 x 1,116 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1600 nits of max brightness, 2,160Hz PWM dimming, 960Hz touch sampling rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut and 10-bit color depth.

Inside, these gaming behemoths are powered by a 3.3GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor with New Adreno GPU.

The features

The REDMAGIC 9 Pro uses 8 or 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.0 storage, 6,500mAh capacity + 80W fast charging.

The Pro+ version gets higher RAM and storage options with 16GB/24GB RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0. For battery, it is smaller at 5,500mAh but gets fast charging speeds at 165W.

For cameras, both devices are equipped with a 50MP 1/1.57-inch Samsung GN5 sensor and, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide shooter + 2MP shooter + LED flash. For selfies, they are equipped with a 16MP under-screen camera.

Other features noted are the improved cooling system which is now wider at 10,182mm2 and uses 22,000 RPM RGB fans. Moreover, the gaming phones use 3x microphones, 2x stereo speakers, dual 1115K speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack, an In-Display fingerprint reader that doubles as a heart rate monitor, and a linear motor for immersive vibration.

Connecitivity-wise, these devices have 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM support.

For OS, the phones run Android 14 with Red Magic OS 9.0.

These devices will be available on November 28. However, there's no word yet for the global market at the moment.
