HONOR to challenge Apple with its HONOR 100 series!

To recap, the Chinese phone maker unveiled two devices in the series called the base HONOR 100 and a Pro version. Recently, the brand's CEO, George Zhao Ming, shared the firm's objective of entering the European market and disrupting the monopoly in tech, with the intention of stimulating innovation and change in the industry.

In case you don't remember, the base variant HONOR 100 offers a 6.7-inch quad-curved OLED screen with 2664 x 1200 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits of max brightness, and 3,840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.

It is powered by the newly announced 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 8-core chip with Adreno GPU, 12GB/16GB RAM, 256GB/512GB storage, 5,000mAh battery with 100W SuperCharge and USB-C cable.

In terms of cameras, it has a 50MP f/1.95 Sony IMX 906 SLR-level primary shooter with OIS and a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera with macro + LED flash. At the front, it uses a 50MP f/2.1 selfie camera.

On the other hand, the HONOR 100 Pro has a slightly bigger display of a 6.78-inch quad-curved OLED screen, 2700 x 1224 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits of max brightness, and 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.

At the helm, it is powered by a much stronger chip known as the 4nm 3.2GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 8-core CPU, accompanied by Adreno GPU, 12GB/16GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB storage, 5,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 66W wireless charging.

For the camera, the main shooter and ultra-wide are similar to the phone mentioned above but HONOR also added a 32MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 OIS, 2.5x optical zoom, and 50x hybrid zoom. At the front, it uses a 50MP Sony IMX816 and a 2MP depth shooter.

According to the brand, these devices serve as the revolutionary successor to the HONOR 70 and 90 Series. HONOR also added that fans and enthusiasts may expect a continuation of the high standards and innovative features set by its predecessors.

Again the said HONOR 100 Series is going to be available for pre-orders on the first of of December in China and is expected to be available globally by 2024.
