Apart from the HUAWEI nova 12 Pro and Ultra, the brand also introduces the base and lite versions.
Similar to its siblings, the regular nova 12 and Lite features a stylish back design with frozen effects. Both feature a 6.7-inch flat OLED screen with 2412 x 1080 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1 billion colors, and P3 wide color gamut.
Inside, the nova 12 is equipped with a 4G version of a 2.4GHz Kirin 8000 8-core chip with Mali-G610 GPU. The Lite version gets a 6nm 2.4GHz Snapdragon 778G 4G octa-core processor with Adreno 642L GPU.
HUAWEI did not specify the RAM details but these phones are equipped with 256GB or 512GB.
In terms of battery, the regular nova 12 uses 4,600mAh and 100W fast charging. While the Lite version uses a 4,500mAh capacity with 66W fast charging.
At the back, they are using a 50MP primary shooter, but the Lite version doesn't have the RYYB color filter. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor w/ macro sensing + LED flash.
Other features noted are the bionic breathing liquid-cooling pulsating heat conduction feature" which is claimed to enhance heat dissipation by 60x.
The rest mentioned are 4G connectivity, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC (nova 12 only), and dual SIM.
For OS, the phones run HarmonyOS 4.0 out of the box.

The pre-orders will begin on January 5, 2024, in China. However, HUAWEI has not yet announced for other markets.
