It features a 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 octa-core processor, a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, a 108MP f/1.7 main camera, a 50MP f/2.5 selfie camera, and a large 120Hz 6.78-inch curved AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass protection. This is one of the better camera phones for the price.

2. vivo V29 5G - Launched in September 2023 starting at PHP 24,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant and at PHP 26,999 for the 12GB/512GB variant, the vivo V29 5G features the unique halo-shaped Aura Light 2.0 LED flash.

The Aura Light 2.0 tech of this handset enhances its 50MP f/1.88 main camera with OIS which allows the handset to take better Portrait photos in a lot of different scenarios.

The main camera of this handset is also paired with an 8MP f/2.2 119-degree ultra-wide angle camera and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor.

Not to be left behind, the selfie camera of this handset is also a 50MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture size.

3. GoPro Hero 12 Black - It is the latest iteration of the popular and genre-defining action camera. It has front and rear-facing screens and even without a case, it is waterproof for up to 33 feet. It features a massive 1/1.9-inch CMOS sensor with an 8:7 aspect ratio that can record up to 5.3K at 60fps or 4K at 120fps. It even has the new Enduro Battery that should offer up to 2x longer battery run times.

Other key features are the new HyperSmooth 6.0 Video stabilization, time code recording, and the ability to connect to other devices via Bluetooth including earphones with built-in microphones.

4. DJI Osmo Pocket 3 - The third iteration of the compact DJI Osmo Pocket series features a larger form factor and a large 1-inch 9MP CMOS sensor. This is a massive upgrade from the 1/1.7-inch sensor from the previous generation. It also has a larger 1,300mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 80 percent in 16 minutes and up to 100 percent in 32 minutes. 

It has 3 microphones and it can capture up to 4K at 120fps. The footage is stabilized by the included 3-axis gimbal.

In the Philippines, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is priced at PHP 29,990. The Creator combo is priced at PHP 39,990.

Apple iPhone 15, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max!

5. Apple iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max - Announced in September 2023, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max come with the industry's first 3nm chip called the Apple A17 Pro. It has either a 6.1 or 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen with 120Hz ProMotion and Extreme HDR. 

It features a new 48MP f/1.68 main camera that supports 24, 28, and 35mm equivalent focal lengths. It has a 12MP f/2.2 13mm equivalent ultra-wide angle camera with macro capabilities. In the 15 Pro variant it has a 12MP f/1.78 77mm equivalent 3x telephoto camera while the Pro Max variant will come with the new 12MP f/2.2 5x telephoto camera with a 120mm equivalent focal length.

In front is the 12MP f/1.9 selfie camera and it now has USB-C. This allows it to directly record video to an external storage solution via USB-C.

In the Philippines, the iPhone 15 Pro starts at PHP 70,990 while the Pro Max starts at PHP 84,990.

HUAWEI P60 Pro cameras

Bonus: HUAWEI P60 Pro - If you are more into photos, the HUAWEI P60 Pro (starting at PHP 58,990) is arguably the best among all the pocketable devices today. 

To recap, the device boasts an Ultra Lighting Telephoto Camera. This consists of a 48MP sensor with f/2.1 large aperture, multiple lens groups, and OIS. So far, f/2.1 is the largest aperture found on a periscope telephoto sensor and this means that it can take more light for better images even in the dark than other mobile zoom lenses.
