Redmi Watch 4 launched in PH: aluminum body, 1.97-inch AMOLED 600 nits screen, 20-day battery, PHP 4,599 intro price

Alongside the new Note 13 Series, Xiaomi introduces the new Redmi Watch 4 with an aluminum body, a 1.97-inch 5Hz LTPS AMOLED screen, and a 20-day battery.

Redmi Watch 4's features

The new watch features an Aluminum alloy frame that measures 47.5 x 41.1 x 10.5mm and weighs 31.5 grams without the straps. The body is water-resistant at up to 5ATM. On the side is a rotating crown. It will come in either an Obsidian Black or Silver Gray-colored 135 to 205mm TPU strap with a quick-release mechanism.

In front of the watch is the 1.97-inch Square AMOLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate, a 5Hz LTPS, and up to 600 nits brightness. It has an internal 470mAh battery that is rated for 20 days of typical use or up to 10 days with always on-display mode.

It comes with a new 4-channel PPG sensor configuration that allows for higher accuracy health metric monitoring. The sensors included on the watch are the heart-rate sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, and electronic compass. It can monitor and record heart rate, SpO2, sleep, and more. It supports GNSS, Bluetooth, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, and QZSS.  

Softwarewise, it supports over 140 different types of sports and is fully compatible with the Mi Fitness app, Strava, and Apple Health. However, the devices cannot be directly bound to the Strava or Apple health app.

In case of emergencies, users can press the crown button three times and quickly alert the user's selected emergency contact.

It is now available through Mi official stores on Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok. From January 16 to January 20, 2024, the Watch's price will be down to PHP 4,599.
