CES 2024: Acer reveals Vero 16: Eco-friendly, Intel Core Ultra 7, and 16-inch WQXGA display!

Apart from Predator laptops, Acer also revealed an Eco-friendly notebook called the Aspire Vero 16.

The main highlight will be the recycled materials used which Acer claims 60 percent of PCR for the casing and 100 percent PCR for packaging. This highlights the brand's initiative to achieve carbon neutrality while lessening the carbon footprint throughout the life cycle. Furthermore, Acer also said that its touchpad is built of ocean-bound plastic as well as making the laptop's surface much smoother.

In terms of display, it uses a 16-inch WQXGA panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 100 percent sRGB color gamut.

Inside, the laptop is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor with Intel Arc-based iGPU, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD with dual slots.

For battery, the notebook uses 65WHr which is claimed to last up to 10.5 hours by Acer.

Others mentioned are the 1440p QHD webcam with Shutter Door for privacy, microphones with Acer PurifiedVoicetechnology, and a backlit keyboard with a dedicated Copilot AI key.

The rest mentioned are the WiFi 7, Bluetooth LE, 2x USB-C ports, and an HDMI 2.1 port.

It will be first available in NA and Europe. Unfortunately, Acer hasn't told us yet when it will be available in the Philippines.
