Exynos-powered Samsung Galaxy A25 5G w/ OIS now available in PH stores starting at PHP 15,990

In late December of 2023, world's number 2 mobile maker Samsung listed the Galaxy A25 5G in their local online channels. Recently, the tech firm revealed that the device is now available nationwide.

To recap, this handset is a classic-looking Samsung back design available in Black Blue and Blue colorways.

6.5-inch 120Hz AMOLED display

In front, it uses a 6.5-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. Unfortunately, it still has an old-school notch in the front instead of a punch-hole screen.

Inside, the device is powered by the 2.4GHz 5nm Exynos 1280 octa-core processor with Mali-G68 and 5G support. This is one of the weaker chips you will find at this price point.

It is paired with 6GB or 8GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB expandable storage, and an ample 5,000mAh battery capacity. The battery could be charged with a 25W "fast-charging" adapter, the slowest in its class.

In the camera department, this is where the handset will shine. The Samsung Galaxy A25 5G highlights a pretty capable 50MP f/1.8 main camera with PDAF focus and OIS for less blurry photos and videos. It is paired with an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide + 2MP f/2.4 macro camera.

For selfies, it sports a 13MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture size.

Weirdly, the device still has a side-mounted fingerprint reader even if it is using an AMOLED screen.

It also has a single speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, dual-band WiFi, 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and dual SIM slots. It is also protected by Certified EAL5+ Samsung Knox Vault and comes with four generations of OS upgrades and five years of security maintenance.
