Month-long program at Tondo Medical Center

CHERRY, through its CSR arm, CHERRY Cares, launched Free ECG Testing in celebration of National Heart Awareness Month.

With heart disease remaining the leading cause of death globally, it is imperative to raise awareness about the importance of heart health and early detection of cardiac issues. ECG (Electrocardiogram) testing is a simple and non-invasive procedure that can detect abnormalities in the heart's electrical activity, aiding in the early diagnosis and prevention of heart-related complications, CHERRY said in a statement.

The free ECG testing will benefit 100 indigent patients at Tondo Medical Center. Five units of CHERRY Smart Blood Pressure Monitor were also donated to the medical facility. By integrating advanced features and connectivity options, these devices offer a range of advantages for healthcare providers and patients alike.

We want to encourage heart health and wellness within our community. Hence, individuals can take proactive steps toward understanding and safeguarding their heart health, said Agnes Conopio, CHERRY PR-CSR senior manager.

The free testing will be available to indigent individuals of all ages throughout the month of February. Participants will have the opportunity to undergo a thorough examination conducted by certified healthcare professionals, with results provided.

CHERRY Cares said it is committed to raising awareness and providing resources for prevention and treatment, ensuring that everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status or background, has the opportunity to live a heart-healthy life.
