HONOR Magic V2, "the World's Thinnest Foldable" coming to the Philippines!

HONOR Philippines has teased the arrival of the Magic V2 which at the time of its introduction in China was the thinnest foldable in the world.

9.9mm thin when folded and 4.7mm when unfolded!

HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng recently confirmed that the HONOR Magic V2 foldable will be coming to the Philippines.

HONOR fans asked for it and now, we're finally bringing it! This is by far the most anticipated launch we have and we are very proud of it. What we're unveiling in the coming weeks is the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone to date so tech enthusiasts alike really have to watch for it, said HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng.

To recap, the Magic V2 in China features an inner 7.92-inch Foldable LTPO OLED screen with a 2,344 x 2,156 resolution, a 1,600 nits peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Stylus support. The outer screen is a 6.43-inch LTPO screen with a 2,376 x 1,060 resolution, a 2,500 nits peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, Stylus support, and a NanoCrystal Glass 2.0.

Both panels support 10-bit color, HDR10+, and 3,840Hz PWM Dimming with TUV Rheinland Flicker Free Certification.

Inside the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core processor, Adreno GPU, 16GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB storage and a 5,000mAh Silicon Carbon Battery with 66W HONOR SuperCharge wired fast charging.

At the back are the 50MP f/1.9 main camera, 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide camera, and 20MP f/2.4 telephoto camera while on top of the outer screen is 16MP f/2.2 selfie camera.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Dual SIM, 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3 LE, GPS, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C, DP1.2, infrared sensor, Symmetrical Stereo speakers with IMAX Enhanced certification, 24Bit HDR 3-Mic stereo voice reception and DTS X Ultra Algorithm.

The foldable measures 156.7 x 145.4 x 4.7mm (unfolded)/ 9.9mm(folded) and weighs 237 grams.

In China, it comes in either Black, Silk Black, Silk Purple, or Gold, and it has a starting price of CNY 8,999 (around PHP 72K direct conversion).

We will have to wait for HONOR's official launch for the foldable's pricing and availability.
