Netflix Anime has just dropped the teaser for the Baki Hanma vs Kengan Ashura happening on July 6, 2024.

This crossover anime movie is a "dream match" among fans as they often compare the fighting stats and feats of Baki Hanma and Ohma Tokita to see who is stronger.

To recap, the "Baki" manga series, published in Akita Shoten's "Weekly Shonen Champion," is a mega-hit martial arts manga that has sold over 85 million copies.

It tells the story of various fighters centered between the protagonist Baki Hanma, the youngest underground fighting champion, and his father Yujiro Hanma, the "strongest creature in the world". The manga also produced other very popular fighting characters such as Doppo Orochi, Bisquit Oliva, Retsu Kaioh, and Jack Hanma among others.

Meanwhile, "Kengan Ashura" is also a hit martial arts manga. It is the most popular comic among readers of the comics website Ura Sunday and the comics app MangaONE.

The story starts with office worker Kazuo Yamashita encountering the mysterious martial artist Ohma Tokita and getting wrapped up in the "Kengan" matches, in which corporations settle business disputes by betting large sums on seasoned fighters.

Apart from Ohma Tokita, some of the other notable Kengan characters are Kuroki Gensai, Kanoh Agito, and Julius Reinhold, among others.

Both the Baki and Kengan Series are fixtures on Netflix.
