Build Quality/Design

Unique and eye-catching gaming design
Unique and eye-catching gaming design

At first glance, the phone looks unique and looks more expensive than its SRP. The rear design has a nice lustre to it that is more obvious when the light hits it. It has a unique holographic visual depending on the angle of the light.

The phone is made of a polycarbonate frame with a glass front panel and a glasstic rear panel. This combination of materials makes the phone solid and lightweight but incredibly slippery. In addition to that, the rear and front panels are prone to fingerprint smudges. We recommend wearing a case right away.

If you look closely at the large circular camera module, there is gold reflective trim with

It measures 163.7 x 75 x 7.98 mm and weighs 189 grams. There is no mentioned water or dust resistance but the SIM has a red rubber gasket.

There is no mention of glass protection.

Quick thoughts

The Nubia Neo 5G is one of the better-looking phones for under PHP 10K with a UNISOC SoC, 120Hz FHD+ IPS screen, and a 50MP rear main camera.

Alongside are the 8GB RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 22.5W fast wired charging.
AnTuTu and Geek Bench performance
AnTuTu and Geek Bench performance

In our initial benchmarks, the phone managed to score over 430+K in AnTuTu while only consuming 2 percent of battery and only increasing temperature by 6.8 degrees Celsius. It may not be the best at raw power, but it is powerful and efficient enough.

We will have to do more testing on how it actually performs on day-to-day and with longer gaming sessions.

Let's not forget the other features like the 8MP selfie camera and the 50MP + 2MP rear cameras.

So far, we find that Nubia has made some trade-offs and prioritized keeping the price down while offering a decent balance in performance and experience.

What do you guys think?
