Top 5 highlights of the HONOR Magic6 Pro

The recently announced HONOR Magic6 Pro was awarded top cameras, display, audio, and battery scores by independent quality testing laboratory DxOMark.

To recap, the Magic has a large 50MP f/1.4-2.0 main camera with an OVH900 sensor, a 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide camera, and a 180MP f/2.6 Periscope 2.5x optical telephoto camera with 100X digital zoom, OIS and an LED flash. In front is the 50MP selfie camera with a depth sensor.

Inside the phone are the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor, Adreno GPU, LPPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and a massive 5,600mAh battery with 80W wired HONOR SuperCharge charging and 66W wireless charging.

In the Philippines, it is priced at only PHP 69,999.

5 Best features of the new Magic6 Pro?

1. Rear Cameras - DxOMark awarded the phone the gold award for 2024 with a score of 158 overall. This means it snagged first place in cameras worldwide in DxOMark's global smartphone rankings. DxO praised it for its alleged excellent image quality for all kinds of photography especially indoors. Portraiture photography is excellent too for family and friends because of its fast and accurate autofocus and good skin tone rendering.

DxOMark also praised its alleged overall smooth experience in taking videos outdoors in bright light. What impressed the laboratory is its rendering of HDR video in low light.

2. Selfie Cameras - The front-facing cameras are also no slouch as they scored 151, placing it first globally as well. DxOMark claims that it has an impressive front-camera quality in photo and video with crisp details in group photos.

3. Display - It has a large 6.8-inch Quad-Curved floating OLED screen with a 1,280 x 2,800 resolution, a 5,000 nits peak brightness, and a 19.69:9 aspect ratio. It scored high marks in readability, video, and touch tests by DxOMark. Overall, it scored 157 which makes it first place in terms of displays in 2024 so far.

4. Battery -  Inside the phone is the massive 5,600mAh HONOR Silicon-carbon battery that supports up to 80W wired HONOR SuperCharge and 66W wireless charging. In our experience so far, the battery is comfortably lasting for a day and a half of our daily usage. 

DxOmark says that it performed well in its tests including its efficiency and endurance tests.

5. Audio - It features stereo speakers with an amplifier and a DTS:X Ultra sound effects certification. When consuming content, we were impressed by its loud volume and clarity. DxOMark even says that it scored high in consuming videos, gaming, and when recording audio for videos including family, friends, selfie, and concert videos.
