Build Quality/Design

Rear design
Rear design

At first glance, the phone looks stunning, especially in the green colorway. The phone is made of a high-quality polycarbonate which makes it solid yet lightweight. The frame also has a faux metal texture.

The front glass has a preinstalled screen protector while the rear panel has a frosted-glass-like finish and matte texture. This makes it resistant to fingerprint smudges, but the phone is still slippery despite this and the flat-sided frame. We recommend wearing a case.

If you look closely at the large circular camera module, there is reflective metal trim.

It measures 160.5 x 74.5 x 8 mm and weighs 179 grams. It is IP64 water and dust resistance rated.

In front is the aforementioned 6.67-inch CrystalRes 1.5K Flow AMOLED DotDisplay with a 2712 x 1220 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 2,160Hz touch sampling rate and up to 2,400 nits peak brightness. It supports 1,920 PWM dimming, DCI-P3 color gamut and is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protected.

Around the panel are nearly symmetrical and super slim bezels. Only the chin bezel is thicker than the rest. On the upper part of the display is the punch hole and above it is the super slim earpiece hidden on the top bezel.

There's nothing on the left side while on the right side are the polycarbonate volume rocker and the power button. Both have short travel and a plastic-y feel when pressed.

The back has the 50MP f/1.59 main camera with a 1.6 micrometer large 4-in-1 Super Pixel, and an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera with an LED flash. The LED flash has a ring-light-like form factor.

The included modes of the stock camera app include Photo, Video, Night, Pro, Portrait, 50MP, Panorama, Short Film, Slow Motion, Time-lapse, and Long Exposure.

The Pro mode allows switching between the 1x and ultra-wide cameras, ISO (50-6400), Shutterspeed (1/4,000-30 seconds), White Balance, EV (+-4), and Focus.

Added features include Voice Shutter, Histogram, Exposure Verification and Focus Peaking.

So far, the rear camera's 1x and 2x crop are producing decent daylight images. The color and contrast are pleasing while decently sharp and with an acceptable amount of detail.

The rear camera's portrait mode's edge detection is good too. It managed to isolate the subject and her fine hair fibers with ease.

In low light, the images a pleasing with the 1x and 2x producing decently sharp images with good contrast, vibrant color and minimal noise. While the ultra-wide camera produced a similar result but with slightly more noise and lesser sharpness. It also struggled with the colors of the lights from the ceiling.

The selfies are surprisingly good. The images from daylight and low light produce decently sharp images with good contrast. The color in daylight is more accurate while in low light, the camera seems to force a bright exposure which makes the yellow light source of the ceiling near white. Otherwise, there is minimal noise even in low light.

Quick thoughts

The POCO F6 is looking to be one of the more value for money smartphones in terms of raw performance in the under PHP 20K segment.

This powerful performance can be attributed to the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 paired with the Liquid Cooling Technology 4.0 and IceLoop, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0.

Let's not forget the 120Hz FHD+ Flow AMOLED DotDisplay and the dual stereo speakers which make it a media consumption powerhouse. It is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protected too.

The body is made of a lightweight polycarbonate frame with the flat front panel and curved rear panel which makes it look more premium than it already is.

It also includes features like Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, IR Blaster, Dual SIM and in-display fingerprint scanner.

Lastly, it has a 5,000mAh battery with 90W HyperCharge. Unlike some brands, the 90W charger is included in the box as well.

We are working on our full review which will be finished by next week, so stay tuned.
