HONOR Magic V3 (Global) launched: thinnest fold yet, up to 7.92-inch OLED, SD8G3

After it debuted in China last July, the HONOR Magic V3 went global at the IFA 2024.

To recap, it is a foldable device with an ultra-slim profile measuring 9.2mm thick and 226 grams on its faux leather variant and 9.3mm and 230 grams for the glass back panel.

One of its standout features is the robust hinge designed to endure up to 500,000 folds, complemented by a 7-series aluminum alloy frame for enhanced durability.

The primary display features a 7.92-inch FHD+ OLED LTPO panel, offering a refresh rate of 1-120Hz, 3840Hz PWM dimming, support for 1.07 billion colors, and compatibility with a stylus.

The HONOR Magic V3 features

The cover screen features a 6.43-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 1-120Hz LTPO refresh rate, 4,320Hz PWM dimming, DCI-P3 color gamut, and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. Additionally, both displays are equipped with Rhino glass protection, multitouch capability, and AI defocus for eye protection.

Internally, it features a 3.3GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor paired with an Adreno GPU, and offers 12GB or 16GB of RAM, along with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The device features a 5,150mAh battery, equipped with 66W Wired SuperCharge and 50W Wireless Charging capabilities.

Regarding cameras, the device boasts a 50MP f/1.9 main camera with OIS, an 8MP periscope shooter, and a 40MP ultra-wide camera. It features a 16MP front camera for selfies.

Additional features of the Magic V3 include stereo speakers with DTS Ultra audio, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and IPX8 dust and water resistance.

In terms of connectivity, it supports 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 7 (2.4GHz/5GHz), dual-satellite SMS, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM functionality.

The operating system runs Android 14 with MagicOS 8.0.1 interface.
