Not just "So Clean, So Good": Hotel Sogo upgrades customer experience with AI

Popular hotel chain Hotel Sogo has equipped some of its branches with artificial intelligence to provide a better experience to its guests.

Automatic body dryer?

In an exclusive report from the Philippine Star, Hotel Sogo marketing manager Suzette Geminiano shared that the group’s AI Tech Concept room features internet-operated amenities.

A virtual assistant named Aiko would guide guests in booking their rooms using self-check-in kiosks. Geminiano noted that the concept room was "keyless."

Pagpasok niya, automated lahat. Voice command. Sasabihin lang niya na 'computer I'm here' bubukas na lahat ng ilaw, TV. Kumbaga lahat ng electricity automated magbubukas, the official said.

The AI-powered room can also adjust light settings to set or change the ambiance. There is also an automatic body dryer in the restroom.

The AI Tech Concept Rooms are available at Hotel Sogo branches in Malate, Fairview, Davao, and Mexico, Pampanga.

In terms of innovation, nag-pioneer talaga si Sogo. Noong 1997, kami ang unang nagbigay ng free international calls in any countries. Si Hotel Sogo din ang unang nagbigay ng free WIFI noong mga 2001, Geminiano said.
