Here are new YouTube features you should watch out for

Upgraded design and tools

Early this month, YouTube started rolling out its improved platform features. According to the company, users can expect over two dozen improvements, "each designed with viewers and creators in mind."

The updates include visual improvements, such as refreshed colors and buttons. There is also a new mini-player that can be resized by pinching or double tapping and can even be moved to any corner.

YouTube also rolled out the highly requested feature fine-tunable playback speed, allowing for adjustments in 0.05 increments.

When in the landscape, Android phone users (and coming soon on iOS) can already search and browse for videos without leaving this mode.

For content creators, there are new stickers for your Shorts, such as a poll. Anyone who watched your short or voted can see the results in real time.

To help people write posts, YouTube is also rolling out a new feature that can help improve tone and length.

For more interaction, creators can create a community where they, as well as fans, share anything they want.

YouTube is also revamping the profile cards so creators can better see commenters, how long they've been members, and their most recent comments.

For playlist lovers, you'll be able to build a playlist and collaborate and share it with your friends. Soon, you'll be able to upvote your favorite video in the list and create custom thumbnails for any of the lists.

Premium subscribers will be able to save queued videos to a playlist.

Another highlight in this update is the Sleep Timer that lets users set a timer to automatically pause videos after a certain duration of time.
