But I'm not exactly a super techie individual, and taking good photos has never been my strongest suit––so at a recent family gathering, I put the OPPO Reno12's AI-Enhanced Photography to the test. Here’s how it turned my not-so-great shots into post-worthy memories.

1. "AI Eraser" fixed my flaws - Let's face it—no one's skin is perfect. I had a tiny blemish on my nose that was bugging me with every selfie. Thankfully, the OPPO Reno12's AI Eraser feature saved the day.

With just a few taps, I erased the blemish, and the AI blended it so seamlessly– it looked like I had a flawless complexion! If you read my last article, you know I'm already a fan of the AI Eraser, and this experience only reinforced that.
2. "AI Perfect Shot" made perfect family photos - I've got a confession: my hands are shakier than a Jenga tower mid-game. So, when I snapped a family selfie that I liked, I was disappointed to see a few blurry faces. Not to mention, my cousin had her eyes closed.

Fortunately, the OPPO Reno12’s AI Perfect Shot feature came to my rescue. The AI Clear Face tool fixed the blurry faces in seconds, while AI Best Face seamlessly "opened" my cousin's eyes. It was like the phone knew exactly what needed fixing, and I didn’t have to worry about taking another shot.
3. "AI Studio" saved me from family pressure - You know how family gatherings go—someone always asks when you’re getting married. Really, IN THIS ECONOMY?! Instead of dodging the question, I decided to have a little fun with the OPPO Reno12’s AI Studio.

I chose the "Groom" template and uploaded a selfie. In seconds, OPPO AI Studio generated an image of me dressed as a groom, complete with a stylish tux. It had everyone laughing, and even my mom saved the photo for her collection.
AI Studio can generate up to 2 faces per image. This, it gave me a little preview of what my hypothetical honeymoon would look like with my hypothetical wife, Kim Chaewon (FEARNOT, please forgive my delulu-ness).

Our thoughts
The OPPO Reno12's AI-enhanced photography features show great promise, but of course, there's always room for improvement.
For example, the AI Perfect Shot occasionally struggled with identifying blurry faces and closed eyes in certain photos. Additionally, while the concept behind AI Studio is innovative, the limited selection of templates can feel quite restrictive. However, these are just minor setbacks that OPPO could refine in future updates, and I'm eager to see how these features will evolve with better performance in upcoming models.

That said, the AI tools still allowed me to capture some beautiful, share-worthy moments, proving that this all-rounder phone delivers solid results for everyday users—without actually breaking the bank.
