RedMagic 10 Pro, 10 Pro+: SD 8 Elite, superior cooling, up to 7,050mAh battery

RedMagic unveils its latest gaming smartphones: RedMagic 10 Pro and 10 Pro+ both powered by Qualcomm's flagship chip for 2024.

The two phones boast iconic gamer designs with transparent looks available in Silver Wing, and Black colorways.

Both devices use 6.85-inch BOE OLED Q9+ panel with 2688 x 1216 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 960Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit color depth, DCI-P3 color gamut, 2,000 nits peak brightness, 2592Hz PWM dimming, and In-Display fingerprint scanner.

Inside, they sport the 4.32GHz 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipsets with new Adreno GPU, 12GB/16GB/24GB LPDDR5X RAM WITH 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 STORAGE options.

Among the highlights of these phones are the slim profile yet armed with large battery capacities. For instance, the Pro+ variant comes with a 7,050mAh capacity paired with 120W fast charging.

The RedMagic 10 Pro on the other hand uses 6,500mAh size and 80W fast charging.

Both are identical in the imaging section as they use 50MP OmniVision OV50E40 with OIS, 50MP OV50D ultra-wide, and 2MP macro. For selfies, they are equipped with 16MP OV16A1Q.

The RedMagic 10 Series features

Another highlight is the superior cooling of the gaming phones. These are the first to implement composite liquid metal cooling featuring a thermal conductivity of 80W/mk. The brand claims this is 13x better than using thermal conductive gel.

It is also paired with what they call "Hot Wheels" or in other words a high-speed centrifugal fan with 23,000 rpm, 3D ice-step VC area (12,000mm2), superconducting copper foil with an area of 5,200mm2, and a thick graphene under the screen all made to keep the temperatures low and maximize gaming performance.

It still has shoulder triggers to assist players in gaming, an X-axis linear motor, stereo speakers, and 3.5mm audio jack.

Connectivity features are 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 7 (2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC and dual SIM.

For OS, they run Android 15 with RedMagic AI OS 10.0.
