HUAWEI beats Apple
For the first three quarters of 2024, IDC reports that tech giant HUAWEI leads the wearable shipments globally.
Despite a global decline in shipments, the Chinese brands maintained a year-on-year growth of 20.1 percent, driving global expansion.
The brand that stood out is HUAWEI, which saw a massive 44.3 percent year-on-year increase in global shipments. Their market share in China is 35.7 percent, and globally, they captured 16.9 percent of the market.

To achieve the top market share, HUAWEI surpassed American tech giant Apple (number 2), Xiaomi (number 3), Samsung (number 4), and the BBK group consisting of OPPO, OnePlus, realme, vivo (number 5).
