Leak: HUAWEI Pura 80 Ultra might use an ultra-large multi-focal length periscope lens

According to new leaks from China, details about the camera details of the possible HUAWEI Pura 80 Ultra have been revealed.

Is this the future king of camera phones?

The Pura 70 Ultra's likely 2025 upgrade is said to boast a 50MP 1-inch variable aperture main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and an "ultra-large" bottom multi-focal length periscope lens.

The leaker notes that this is not the final version yet, and it is still undergoing technical testing, so there might be changes to the actual mass-production model.

Nevertheless, this type of camera setup could further improve HUAWEI high-end smartphones' already very impressive mobile photography shooting capabilities. If this leak is true, the rumored upcoming smartphone might be an amazing Portrait zoom photography phone with possible macro shooting potential and improved long-range zoom performance.

There are no other confirmed details about the said Pura 80 Ultra. But, it is expected to use a 6.8-inch curved-edge display and the same Kirin 9020 chip found on the Mate 70 Series.

The handset is expected to launch in the first half of 2025. Traditionally, April is the release date of the high-end Pura smartphones.
