Edits allows users to capture and edit footage for vertical-style videos that can be published on any platform. If users decide to post on Instagram, the app will provide live video performance insights like viewer engagement thanks to its integration with Instagram Reels.

The app has a dedicated inspiration tab and all of the standard tools grounded on its competitor, CapCut, including a green screen, video overlays, caption generation, and voiceovers. With the app's built-in AI animation feature, creators can bring images to life.

Users can also choose resolution, framerate, dynamic range, flash, and zoom. Lastly, the app also allows users to collaborate and share video drafts.

The app is currently up for pre-order on Apple's App Store and is expected to go live next month. Adam Mosseri added that the Android version is coming soon.
