Highly anticipated console soon in PH

The highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 is finally making its way to the Philippines, with major retailers DataBlitz and GameXtreme opening pre-orders for a PHP 5,000 downpayment. The new console brings significant upgrades over its predecessor, promising a more immersive gaming experience.

To recall, one of the most notable improvements is the larger 7.9-inch display, now featuring 1080p resolution, a major step up from the original Switch's HD screen. 

However, the continued use of an LCD panel may disappoint some fans. Despite this, the console supports 4K resolution and up to 120 fps when gaming on docke mode, ensuring smoother and more detailed gameplay at home.

Nintendo also redesigned the Joy-Con 2 controllers with now featuring magnetic attachment for quicker and more secure snapping onto the handheld. The brand has also integrated a noise-canceling microphone and introduced mouse control functionality on the detachable gamepad, offering new ways to play, especially in two-player modes.

Inside, the Switch 2 is powered by a custom NVIDIA chip, previously rumored to be a modified Tegra T239 with a GPU based on the RTX 30-series Ampere architecture. 

The chip reportedly includes 1,536 CUDA cores, a 128-bit memory interface, and LPDDR5 RAM, delivering a memory bandwidth of 102 GB/s. To maintain performance, Nintendo has added a cooling fan to prevent overheating during extended gaming sessions.

Storage has also seen a major upgrade, with the base model now offering 256GB—a significant improvement over the original Switch's 32GB or 64GB options. Additionally, the new Switch 2 Pro gamepad introduces a GameChat button, extra GL/GR buttons on the back, and even a 3.5mm headphone jack for added convenience.
