Apple TV+ price hike

Following upward price adjustments of competitors, like Netflix, Apple TV+ announced that the monthly subscription of its customers in the US and other countries will be USD 12.99.

According to a report from CNBC, this price increase is the group’s first hike since 2023. To recall, Apple TV+’s monthly subscription was at USD 6.99 before the company increased this to about USD 9.99 two years ago.

While Apple TV+ is considered one of its growth drivers, the American firm does not disclose viewership numbers.

Apple recently introduced the streaming service to Android phones as it was eyeing to expand its reach.

Upon checking, the price in the Philippines has not increased. It is still at PHP 369 per month.

However, due to the new Digital Tax imposed in the country, we won't be surprised to see a price hike soon.
