HUAWEI MatePad Air 12 launched: 2.8K PaperMatte LCD, trendy designs, and 10,100mAh battery

HUAWEI launches the MatePad Air 12 in China, featuring a large battery and an anti-glare screen.

The next-gen MatePad Air

The new tablet boasts fresh-looking, trendy colorways available in Feather Sand White, Smoke, Gray, Grass Green, and Cherry Blossom Pink.

In front, the MatePad Air 12 uses a 2.8K 12-inch LCD (IPS) screen with an optional nano-etched PaperMatte coating to protect your eyes from glare and eliminate reflections and light interference by 99 percent. Moreover, the screen also has 1,000 nits peak brightness and has 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut.

The display also supports M-Pencil Pro for writing or drawing activities.

Come with a floating keyboard

HUAWEI stayed silent about the chip but mentioned that it uses 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage.

As for battery, the tablet sports a large 10,100mAh capacity with USB-C 66W fast charging.

In the camera department, the device has a 50MP AF main shooter and an 8MP front camera.

Other features noted are a six-speaker setup for loud and immersive stereo sound.

Connectivity features are WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.2

For software, the tablet runs HarmonyOS 5.0 out of the box.
