realme GT8 Pro: Modular design, Ricoh GR lens, 200MP periscope camera

Apart from the realme GT8, the brand also introduced the GT8 Pro with a more powerful chip and sophisticated cameras in partnership with Ricoh GR.

The main difference in this model is the interchangeable camera island; users can select between circle, square, or robot-style bumps. realme also posted a 3MF model file so users can 3D print their preferred design for a more personalized experience.

Moreover, each of the realme GT8 Pro's colorways has different characteristics.

The design

The White model has AG frosted glass and has a comparable smoothness feel to a Jade, as realme claimed.

The Blue edition features a Calm and minimalist approach with paper-like recycled leather, but is still wear and corrosion-resistant. Lastly, the Green colorway also shares the same paper-like, recycled leather feel.

Furthermore, it also features a triple IP rating of IP66/68/69 for solid protection against dust and water.

In front, the phone uses a slightly bigger 6.79-inch 2K+ OLED panel with 3136 x 1440 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 7,000 nits peak brightness, 3,200Hz instant touch sampling rate, and 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut.

The features

Inside, it packs the current 4.6GHz 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC paired with 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.1 storage options.

For the battery, it now also comes in a 7,000mAh size and charges using 100W USB-C SUPERVOOC, 50W wireless charging.

The camera features

For cameras, it uses a 50MP Ricoh GR-tuned 1/1.56-inch main camera with OIS, 7P high-lens array, and a 5-layer ultra-low reflection coating, deep absorption blue glass, double-layer AR coating to achieve truly accurate shots.

It is also paired with 50MP ultra-wide f/2.00 sensor with 116-degree FOV and 200MP HP5

Other features are stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio, 4D vibration, and large VC cooling.

Connectivity features are WiFi 7, 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

For OS, the phone runs Android 16 with realme UI 7.0
