The countdown to the holidays is on! As the season of giving approaches rapidly, Filipinos are gearing up to finalize those essential Christmas gift lists.

A vital part of this preparation is budgeting, especially if you are thinking of giving out extra special gifts such as gadgets. With the different payment options available now, consumers should look for the option that will give them the best terms without sacrificing anything.

Among those modes with flexible payment options are Home Credit and Billease.

When it comes to the minimum down payment, Billease has a zero DP option, but some transactions may require a certain amount for DP, depending on what will be arranged.

For the application process, Home Credit customers can do this via walk-in, where there are dedicated Home Credit sales representatives available to assist buyers, or via the mobile app for pre-approval. They just need to provide their personal e-mail address, personal mobile number, and an ID.

In just one minute, they can get their loan application reviewed and approved.

To get approved for any installment plan, simply present one valid ID, and if eligible, you can be approved in as little as one minute.

For Billease, the application can be done via its website or mobile app. Customers need to submit an ID, proof of income, and proof of billing to complete the process.

Flexibility is also a critical factor when it comes to loans.

In Home Credit, there is the Loan Extra Care, which is a Value-Added Service that customers can avail for PHP 49 per month for a product loan and P99 per month for a cash loan. Under this, the Partial Early Repayment service allows customers to pay more than the fixed monthly dues and thereby shorten the loan period. Under Full Early Repayment, meanwhile, customers only need to settle the remaining financed amount in full, which includes the Home Credit Protect fee and their current month’s installment interest fee.

Loan Extra Care also allows customers to postpone their scheduled due date by 1 month via Payment Holiday, or change their loan's due date when needed via Change of due date service.

Looking at all these factors, Home Credit may be a smarter choice given the wider range of coverage and offerings it has. It will also be more convenient for customers, given its offline and online reach.

A standout feature is Home Credit's Loan Extra Care service, which offers significant flexibility for managing your loan, especially during expensive times of the year like the holidays.

This service allows you to adjust your payment schedule based on your current financial needs. For instance, if you're facing those inevitable extra Christmas expenses—like last-minute gifts or unexpected travel costs to visit family—you can request to skip a payment that month to ease the budget strain.

Alternatively, if your company bonus comes early or late in December, you can easily change the due date of your installment to match the payout. This flexibility is a thoughtful safety net that helps you manage those seasonal financial peaks, giving you proactive control over your repayments, allowing you to meet your financial obligations and still enjoy the holiday season without unnecessary stress.

You may download the Home Credit App on Google Play, the Apple App Store, or HUAWEI AppGallery to check your eligibility and get pre-approved for product installments.
