LG has undergone an organizational change. The South Korean conglomerate appointed Lyu Jae‑cheol as new CEO.

New LG CEO named
Lyu Jae-cheol previously headed LG's Home Appliance Solution (HS) Company. During his tenure, the said subgroup became the global No.1 home appliance brand.
His forcus is to expand the tech giant's strengths in home appliances across the company, drive growth via B2B, subscription, and D2C models.
Basically, he is tasked to strengthen core businesses, while restructuring to boost efficiency and investing in AI, robotics, HVAC, webOS, and next-gen computing for future growth.
Previous CEO for 4 years William Cho was credited with expanding LG into mobility, commercial spaces, and Smart Life solutions.
Meanwhile, Eun Seok-hyun (Vehicle Solutions) and James Lee (Eco Solutions) promoted to President to accelerate B2B growth.
Baek Seung-tae becomes head of HS Company.
Kwack Do-yeong was appointed Head of LG North America & LG USA.
Other company heads (MS, VS, ES) remain for continuity.
LG keeps its four-company structure (HS, MS, VS, ES) but integrates overlapping functions for efficiency.
For further growth, the company is investing in future-oriented businesses.
- HS Company - New HS B2B Overseas Sales Division, elevated the Built-in/Cooking Business, and creation of the HS Robotics Lab.
- MS Company - Merge TV + IT into Display Business, elevate webOS Ads to a Business.
- ES Company - New Applied Business Division (HVAC for data centers, nuclear power), plus M&A and Overseas Sales Divisions.
- Chief Technology Office - New HS Advanced Research Lab and Next-Gen Computing Lab (quantum, distributed computing, security).
- AI Transformation - Creation of AX Center to lead companywide AI adoption and operational efficiency.
