Ookla's Speed Test Intelligence data for Q1-Q2 2025 revealed that Smart has a median latency of 45.89 milliseconds (ms) for all network technologies, leading all other competing telcos in the country.

TNT's value-packed services powered by an award-winning mobile network put it in the best position to bring fun or "saya" to today’s generation of gamers, streamers, and content creators, said Lloyd R. Manaloto, First Vice President at Smart.

Behind every seamless game, binge-watching session, or livestream is a strong and responsive network. We take pride in ensuring that TNT subscribers across the country enjoy consistent, lag-free connectivity for the activities that matter to them most, said Debbie M. Hu, First Vice President and Head of Wireless Networks at Smart.

To those who missed it, Mobile latency refers to the speed at which data moves across a network. The lower the latency, the quicker the response, a key factor for smooth mobile gaming, seamless livestreams, and lag-free video calls.

Use cases

  1. Mobile players have the best chance to enjoy seamless matches on TNT's network in the Philippines
  2. Shoppers and live sellers get smooth, instant transactions with minimal to no waiting
  3. Binge-watchers enjoy their favourite series, vlogs, and micro-dramas better
  4. Students and professionals can attend online classes or collaborate at work smoothly
